Angry Chickz is opening its first Santa Maria restaurant on June 5, 2026, at 2102 S. Bradley Road. The new location will be our 33rd restaurant in California and 38th nationwide, bringing bold Nashville hot chicken and plenty of Angry energy to the Central Coast.

At Angry Chickz, you are in charge of the spice.

Our made-to-order chicken comes in six heat levels, starting with Country for guests who want all the flavor without the fire. From there, the heat keeps climbing until it reaches our signature Angry level.

And Angry is not your average “extra spicy.”

It is so intense that guests must acknowledge and sign the Angry Heat Level Waiver before ordering. Think carefully, choose wisely and remember: your friends will absolutely remind you if you talk a big game and reach for a drink after the first bite.

Then there is the Angry Mac.

This guest favorite combines crispy chicken, seasoned fries and creamy mac and cheese into one gloriously loaded meal. It is crunchy, cheesy, comforting and extremely difficult to share.

Santa Maria is the next stop in Angry Chickz’s continued growth along the California coast—and we could not be more excited to join the community.

From East Hollywood to Santa Maria

Angry Chickz started in 2018 inside a 900-square-foot storefront in Los Angeles’ East Hollywood neighborhood. Since then, our mix of hand-breaded chicken, customizable heat and high-energy hospitality has helped us grow into one of the fastest-rising Nashville hot chicken brands in the country.

Along the way, Angry Chickz has earned recognition from QSR, Fast Casual, Nation’s Restaurant News and Franchise Times. But no matter how many locations we open, the goal remains simple: serve seriously good chicken and make every visit worth repeating.
